Event Planning Technology - Printing on the Go
We have all had to use the Business Center at one time or another to get items printed and then we got the bill. Typically, this results in a planner falling over onto the floor in either laughter or tears or a combination of both.
OnSite Events folks like to keep things in check and one of the items our planners could not do without is the Mobile Printer. These are not your 7000 pages per minute, self collating printers. These are the in a pinch, need to get it down now printers.
They set up fast and can go from the reg desk back to the room with no hassles what-so-ever and are great for printing revised schedules, boarding passes and other daily needs that you find when on a program.
They are not to be a replacement for a good badge printer, but can be used in a pinch.
One that we can recommend is the HP 460 series. They come with some great features including card readers, bluetooth connectivity and other bells and whistles.
They can be had at all of the usual suspects including Office Depot, TigerDirect and even Best Buy. Pretty much anywhere you would buy a printer.
Just a thought.
