Meeting Tomorrow - An Actual Company
Seth Godin points me to:
www.meetingtomorrow.com
Last minute A/V needs can be a real pain in the butt and this nifty little site can help meeting and event planners overcome some of the hurdles in getting the correct A/V equipment on time and on location to 95% of the nation.
Seth uses a great term, it is the "Netflixing" of A/V. You order, they deliver. You box it, you send it back. A great concept for planners who have the do it yourself attitude and limited needs (This service is not going to replace a company that handles your rear-screen projection, large scale events or custom stuff). They even can come and set it up if needed.
Simple and great for stuff like projectors, screens, microphones and the occasional laptop.
If you plan small meetings or have basic A/V needs, this company will allow you to consolidate with one vendor across the nation leading to consistency in equipment and I hope, a better user experience than dealing with some of the on location A/V companies that we have all had to deal with. Sometimes, not having to speak with someone can make an event planners life so much easier and faster.
Something to think about and we will have to see where this leads us.
Maybe we can Netflix some catering next!
Just a thought
