Client Event - Hot Havana Nights and the Leopard Lounge
Annual Events are fun, ya have a whole year to think up new ideas and make sure that they are fantastic! To bad they are all not like that. It would make life so much easier.
This brings me to a client that I (and OnSite) love. They are an association in California and I love them because they understand the value of a great final night event and allow us to really become creative to ensure that attendees are not only entertained, they actually have fun.
They allow us to think out of the box to create the extraordinary from the ordinary. Remember, they are an association. Budget matters.
Many months ago, I put up a post about a Hot Havana Nights Supper Club for Dinner and The Leopard Lounge for drinking and dancing afterward. They allowed us to take this vision and make it a reality.
Now, I am going to include some pictures at the end of this post and they for sure do not do the event justice. In a mere two hours we split a ballroom into two completely different environments. I took the pictures and I take full responsibility for how bad they are!
Here is the event in a nutshell……
Havana, Cuba 1945, swanky and sophisticated, the playground of Presidents and Hollywood Celebrities.
Step inside and experience sights and sounds of the Coconut Grove. A place to see and be seen, this supperclub is elegant, yet fun with elements of the 40’s and 50’s.
Tables are set in simple yet elegant fashion with white table clothes and hurricane lamp centerpieces. Servers in white coats pass hors d’oeuvres while at the bar, an eclectic mix of Mohitos, Sloe Gin and rum drinks flow.
Around the room, a stylish mix of décor includes lighted palms, island murals and soft lighting.
Performers are on stage as the attendees enter the room, straight out of Havana, the room comes alive with period music.
After dinner, it is off for an evening of freewheeling fun that would do Miami proud. Attendees gain admission to The Leopard Lounge….a glamorous discothèque.
As they enter the room, the DJ spins a variety of music to set the tone as guests relax and dance the night away in a room that is bathed in soft light off the walls.
The lounge is the place to spend the late evening in glamour as attendees relax on plush sofas and arm chairs, at tables draped in leopard print and at the swanky bars around the room.
I hope the description paints a picture that my photos can not. I do like the before and after effect though……..
Just a thought.
